Founded locally in 1989 by Ann and David Brennan, the Tocqueville Society brings together our community’s preeminent philanthropists and business leaders to serve United Way of Summit & Medina at every level.

Next Generation Tocqueville

$5,000 annual investment in United Way of Summit & Medina

For those under the age of 45 to enjoy all the benefits of The Tocqueville Society membership – access to exclusive events, a network of prominent local leaders, and more – at a lower initial investment.

Admiral Society

Affinity Groups

Women United

Women United celebrates the accomplishments of local women. Members serve as mentors to emerging professionals and help us achieve our four bold goals through volunteering and participation in our engagement events.

Emerging Leaders

United Way of Summit & Medina’s Emerging Leaders United is designed to inspire, motivate, and support tomorrow’s community leaders and philanthropists. Those 40 and under are invited to join.

Dorothy O. Jackson Society

The Dorothy O. Jackson Society promotes diverse philanthropic leadership in Summit and Medina counties by engaging leaders from minority communities in United Way’s work.

Anyone who gives $250 or more annually to United Way of Summit & Medina is eligible to serve in one or more of our Affinity Groups. Affinity Groups bring people together to engage in our work as volunteers, leaders and advocates.

Our Affinity Groups offer exclusive experiences, such as networking events with a focus on personal and professional development, and volunteer activities that give you a hands-on connection to our work.

Giving requirements for United Way of Summit & Medina’s Giving Societies and Affinity Groups are on a per-household basis and can be met through a company match plan.
